The car was another fine
idea, but it has, simply put, overtaken our lives. In America we are TOTALLY
controlled by the automobile. Try surviving without one,
unless you live in a great metropolis like New York,
Chicago, Portland, San Fransisco, etc. Just try it-- it's
nearly impossible! We have over-used a good idea-- so
much so that we are now trapped in a viscious cycle by
it. Our communities erode because of our ease of
mobility, and the environment degrades as a result of the
by-products of the technology we've become dependent
upon.
