Technological advances are not inherently bad, but in contemporary culture our dependence on technology is pulling us apart! Technology is not fulfilling the promises that the slick, melodramatic commercials advertising cell-phones, pagers, personal computers and small-business-lines-of-credit are asserting.

The internet is not a concrete, three dimensional, shared reality. And contemporary America needs concrete, three dimensional, shared reality. It's called community. It's also called a city.

We need to use technology to the point that it is TRULY beneficial to us, and then say "ENOUGH!" and put it away!

Stick it on the shelf, turn it off, stop doing it, stop using it!
