The Nation
"The Nation will not be the organ of any party, sect, or body. It will, on the contrary, make an earnest effort to bring to the discussion of political and social questions a really critical spirit, and to wage war upon the vices of violence, exaggeration, and misrepresentation by which so much of the political writing of the day is marred."

The Sierra Club
No explanation needed. Be sure to check out their sprawl resources.

Slow Food
We enthusiastically support the Slow Food movement. From the website: "We are enslaved by speed and have all succumbed to the same insidious virus: Fast Life, which disrupts our habits, pervades the privacy of our homes and forces us to eat Fast Foods. To be worthy of the name, Homo Sapiens should rid himself of speed before it reduces him to a species in danger of extinction."

The Orion Society
"Over the past decade, unprecedented numbers of us have voluntarily chosen a simpler, more value-based lifestyle, one that departs radically from the assumptions of the dominant culture.
