A Statement Concerning The Idea of Designing & Building in The World
  


Design is about listening. Design is about singular vision generated by listening to and observing everything. Everything includes: the earth (nature), people, the built environment, the work of other designers, god, the guy down at the auto repair shop, your client, your soul.

You listen, then you translate, you communicate, you pour out your soul to build the world in the best way you see fit. You build, communicate, design in a way that attempts to make the world a better place. You attempt to make yourself a better person in the process. You encourage those that you influence to live for the highest common denominator.

Designing and building are not about arrogance. They are about placing ourselves in the natural world, relating ourselves to one another.
