Modern Lies: For The Love of A Thing
8-1/2" x 10-7/8" Hand-Assembled Collage, 2001

The "Modern Lies" series explores the tragedy of contemporary America's search for fulfillment in all the wrong places. The collages are hand-assembled using only an Exacto knife and acid-free rubber cement.

Inverno
22" x 45" Digital Print, 1998

Literally, "winter" in Italian. A very deep-colored photomontage using several photographs and textures I've acquired and modified over the years. The print has many things going on, some of which are not completely visible in a web-friendly version of the image.

Wedding Announcement
Color Postcard, 2000

A graphic representing "a romantic exodus", produced by collaging scavenged elements from photographs, Italian mail, fortune cookies, and paintings.

Innocente
3" x 10" Digital Print, 1998

This is a colorful photomontage combining a beautiful weathered wood texture, a photograph of sky, a photograph of the Ospedale degli Innocenti in Firenze, Italia, and a Japanese saying ("Subtlety keeps the fools away").

Logo: Waddell + Associates, Architects

An exercise in name recognition. The logo is interesting, concise and memorable without being too busy or melodramatic.

Vignette: The Strip
Photomontage and sketch with words, 1998

Icon: Door
11" x 17" Charcoal Sketch, 1996

This sketch is very simple, which is why I like it. It represents several doors opening and folding into one another.
